Take Notes
Take notes efficiently for locating readbacks, and to identify events in the room that may not be heard on the recording. Common activities, such as Question and Answer, can be notated using predefined function keys. Other details can be entered before the session, such as docket schedules and evidence to be entered into the record. With one click that information can be added to the recording as a timestamped note. Notes can also be typed at any time on the keyboard.
Readbacks
Providing readbacks during a deposition or in court is quick and easy. Just click on notes that have been entered, such as Question or Answer. Recording continues while playing back the testimony on headphones, or through speakers for everyone to hear. And it is imposible to erase testimony by accident, a real problem with tape.
Multichannel Capability
Multichannel recording support is built into the software. For court archiving, and electronic reporting, use up to 12 microphone channels. The software records each channel independently to ensure intelligibility and speaker identification with perfect accuracy.
Stenomask Support
Record from a stenomask on a separate track. Toggle between room and stenomask tracks during playback using a keystroke or the foot pedal. When providing recordings to clients, the room track can be separated from the stenomask track to keep reporter information confidential.
Voice Recognition Compatible
Court Recorder 7 is the most cost-effective way to combine digital recording with real-time transcription. Dragon voice recognition software can be installed on the recording computer for dictating using a stenomask. The translation is stored as timestamped text notes in the Court Recorder 7 file. The stenomask channel can also be output as a separate file for transcription using Dragon software at a later time.

Increase Transcription Efficiency and Accuracy
Digital clarity and timestamped notes make it easy to transcribe recodings. With the optional SoniClear USB Foot Pedal, the software works like a standard transcription machine for hands-free control.
Digital Storage and Duplication
Recordings are stored in computer files using industry-standard WAV or MP3 format. Recordings can be stored on CD for permanent storage and duplication, or copied to a flash memory "thumb" drive for convenient backup and transport. Transmit files over a network or the Internet in MP3 format for access by typists, clients, and the courts. Sections of recordings can also be excerpted into a separate file, when requested.
