Recording and Transcription
Gov Archiver provides digital recording for efficient production of meeting minutes and permanent recording storage. Gov Archiver software has all of the features of Gov Recorder, including digital audio recording, annotation, and transcription playback. Files are compatible between all SoniClear Gov products so they can be used together in various combinations, depending on application requirements.

CD Speed and Convenience
Gov Archiver can prepare meeting recordings for duplication on Data CDs, storing to 30 hours of meeting time on a single CD. Audio CD format is also supported, for playback in any audio CD player, such as car or home stereo systems. Duplicating digital recordings made with Gov Archiver is dramatically faster and easier than duplicating cassette tapes.

Audio Archive Management
The LAN Archive feature of Gov Archiver provides immediate retrieval of recordings from any computer on the local area network. Recordings can be added to the archive with one click, including all of the entered notes, making it easy to directly access to any section of a meeting for review.

Dual-Channel Recording
The Gov Archiver dual-channel version records one or two audio channels in industry-standard WAV format. Gov Archiver can be used as a direct replacement for standard two-channel cassette recorders.

Multi-Channel Recording
The Gov Archiver MX version supports recording up to 12 independent channels. Multi-channel recording is useful for identifying who is speaking in a meeting based on their location. Multi-channel capability is also helpful for meetings where several people may be taking at the same time, such as planning sessions and discussion groups. Recordings are stored using industry-standard WAV audio files, or MP3 files for saving disk space. Gov Archiver MX can be used as a direct replacement for Sony and Lanier four-channel cassette recorders.
